Abstract

The article aims to investigate the scientific production on rural Black women through a survey conducted in the Directory of Research Groups in Brazil (DGPB), linked to the CNPq platform. The study adopted an exploratory and documentary approach in order to identify scientific outputs addressing the realities of Black women in Brazilian rural contexts. To this end, key terms such as “women,” “women of the countryside,” “rural women,” and “rural/countryside Black women” were used, without delimitation by field of knowledge or time period, so as to obtain a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of existing production. The findings revealed the absence of research groups specifically dedicated to rural Black women, highlighting a significant epistemic invisibility. Such absence points to the persistence of structural inequalities and to the historical silences that shape knowledge production in Brazil.
