Abstract

This essay explores public accountability in agricultural credit, highlighting the relevance of transparent policies and access to information to reduce socioeconomic inequalities in the rural sector. Referencing Ceneviva and Farah (2012) and Jannuzzi (2017) as well as other authors to contribute to the discussion, considering digital inclusion and social indicators that help in the formulation of fair policies and the promotion of equity. Tools such as big data and integrated systems reinforce transparency, strengthen public governance and expand the benefits of credit for family farmers. This theoretical essay discusses the responsibility of the public sector in agricultural financing and transparency as a crucial factor for the formulation of inclusive policies. By addressing digital inclusion and social indicators, the text explores how technological tools and data can promote equity in rural credit, reducing socio-spatial inequalities.
