This article, on the occasion of the centenary of the Coluna Prestes (1924-1927), discusses the presence of invisible actors in the context of studies of this movement: children and adolescents who accompanied men and women along the twenty-five thousand kilometers of the Freedom March. Based on the accumulations of the historiography of childhood and the analysis of productions on this event, present in the Catalog of Dissertations and Theses of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the objective is to highlight the relevance of studying the presence of children who experienced their childhoods in a context of conflict, such as the Coluna Prestes. It also points to the importance and challenges of recovering data on these little combatants in academic studies.
