The objective of this article is to identify, in the objects presented at the Rural Schools Exhibition of the Federal District (1962), the materialization of the assumptions of antipoffian pedagogical ruralism in that region. The hypothesis is that, by cross-referencing the exhibited material with the assumptions of antipoffian ruralism present in the writings of Helena Antipoff, it is possible to affirm that such a pedagogical perspective was implemented and materialized in the artifacts on display. The results indicate that the artifacts linked to craft practices in rural schools materialized a pedagogical practice serving broader economic and social interests. The artifacts linked to music education materialized concerns with a holistic education for the child. The artifacts linked to the pedagogical use of puppet theater in rural areas constituted a kind of total education, in which all stages involving this type of theater were considered to have educational content and scope.
